Documentary family photography is about honest, unposed images.
Your life is beautiful and worthy of capturing just the way it is. From the hugs, tears, messes, and giggles, my job is to be there to document your day-to-day family life. You can wear whatever you want, and I won't be asking you to look at the camera.
We can do a shorter session, usually 1-2 hours, to capture one or more activities. Or we can do a half (4 hour) or full day (8 hour) session. No matter what type of session you want, all you have to do is be yourselves!
But what if we want some more traditional photos as well?
We can include some lifestyle portraits, usually at the beginning of a session at home, or anytime out-and-about. This might include minimal directing from me such as "let's start out on the couch and you guys can read a book/cuddle/tickle" or "can you guys go play in the water/stand by that wall/sit on your porch?" While it might not be most of what we do, we can definitely include it.
